Here is a work in progress. This is a design I am working on for a creature known as Jenny Green Teeth. She is a human-like creature who lives under water in lakes and bogs. Right now she is looking a little to much like the designs from Pirates of the Caribbean. Eventually I'm going top make the moss hanging from her look like an old dress, as well as put a little more history into her design. Any helpful crit's or thoughts on this piece where it is currently are welcome.

Great to see some new stuff up, even though I know you are suuuper busy these days! I think the choice of dripping gunk would be informed by the type of character she is. If she is a loving or friendly character, you may want to have softer shapes like softly designed areas of moss, and perhaps even something like a lillypad hat? If she is more of a bog witch character, then twigs and bits of sharper swamp muck might be good...maybe a crawdad or two stuck in there...catfish? You could also use pampas grass for material--it hangs well, grows by bodies of water, and can cut you if you run your finger along the edge. I don't know if these are even good ideas, but they where what I thought of when I saw your drawing. I look forward to your next post!

You know what dela, because you asked, i gotta get up in this crit ;) I'm thinkin jenny, as sweet as she is, I like some evil, i'm all there when i comes to the dark side of things. Example. Wynona Rider, very very sweet looking girl, but man she's a clepto. That surprise is a nice surprise. I picture Jenny maybe as a really sweet and pleasant in the face, but there is something off, she has an aura of evil. So the whole idea you're talkin bout the old dress, victorian, greek, renaisance (sp?), or whatever classical thing is sweet mixed with some evilness, i like. From what i remeber she drowned ppl yeah? So maybe above water she's beautiful, and under her dress is made of skulls, or the rotting flesh of her victims. Or maybe her back is just covered with the pealing flesh with exposed muscles, so whe the victim hugs her with infatuation and lust he wonders what the goo in his hands are and he looks and it's too late jenny got a grip and he's screwed! those are some ideas, but yeah... crazy jenny, i definitely see a undercover freak of some kind in there somewhere. Good luck though man. Hope to see what you really do with this.

Wow. I'll just say this...maybe incorporating elements of costume from her time period into the moss would add that little touch of beauty to her design. You da man, Dela.
